EPS was established in 1994 with the specific purpose of developing a simple and functional engineering and maintenance management system that could be easily implemented and successfully operated by anyone regardless of skill while at the same time provide valuable management information.

The issue of maintaining plant and equipment has become an important strategic initiative for many organisations. An organisation that understands how its infrastructure supports its business is a company that will continue to be productive into the 21st century.

The first system EPS developed was a maintenance and engineering management system called Workmate. This application was designed to fit a wide variety of manufacturing, building, processing and service industry sectors and has saved many companies thousands of dollars.

The latest version of Workmate released in May 2000 includes a module that enables companies to track and provide audit trails for OSH (Occupational Safety and Health), maintenance activity trails and other legal requirements.

The savings and value that EPS generated for clients in the engineering and maintenance management area led to the development of a suite of companion products designed to provide a more comprehensive management solution.

EPS now provides a range of products and services based on the IRM theme (Infrastructure Resource Management). The new products that EPS have developed include Workmate QSE and Xas.

Workmate QSE (Quality, Safety & Environmental) is an application that provides a tool set to enable organisations to analyse all critical activity. This is done to ensure that any organisation's key operational tasks are being carried out against a measured benchmark of exposure to risk, criticality and performance.

Xas is a new concept in plant, facilities, services, customer, fleet and property management. Xas is an ASP (Application Service Provider) system that delivers comprehensive functionality using the internet or intranet as its primary delivery platform.
