"Workmate Really is Fantastic"
In January 1999 the Workmate maintenance
system was installed at the Douglas Pharmaceuticals manufacturing
facility in Henderson, Auckland. Douglas is a pharmaceutical manufacturing
and packaging plant that is wholly New Zealand owned.
Hygiene, quality and manufacturing processes
must meet the most stringent standards and the systems implemented
to manage these functions must be of the highest quality and provide
the reporting functions that a demanding and rigorous work environment
determines.
Workmate was selected for its ease of use,
flexibility and ability to be configured to fit the specific working
environment at Douglas Pharmaceuticals.
As Ian King Chief Engineer at Douglas says
"We maintain a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, and comprehensive
security, air purification and conditioning systems. The plant
is maintained by a number of contractors and in-house staff and
we needed a tool that could help us to effectively manage a very
