"Financial reporting that
is excellent!"
Gallagher Group in Hamilton have only had
their Workmate system installed for four months and there are
already many excellent results coming out of the system.
One of the key performance criteria for
Workmate was for the system to provide monthly financial reporting
for the group within the one system while at the same time reporting
on the performance of each department individually.
Workmate has achieved this task effortlessly
and has also been able to provide reports on historical records
entered prior to Workmate being installed. Before Workmate was
installed maintenance costs were split between two departments
on an arbitrary basis. It was well known that this was an uneven
split but there was no way of determining the exact 'real cost'
that each department was incurring. Within four weeks of installing
Workmate Julian Thornton, Gallagher's Maintenance Manager was
able to identify the real cost that each department was incurring.
Three departments are now regularly reported on with accurate
maintenance costs allowing these areas to concentrate on reducing
these costs where there is most expense.
The accuracy and value of Workmate's ability
to provide financial reports in this way is only one of the benefits
of installing Workmate.
Thornton explains… "Workmate has a
very friendly user interface that all of our staff have been able
to use with ease and provides us with a reporting tool that is
extremely easy to use and enables us to do financial reporting
that is just excellent! We are now able to determine the true
cost of maintaining any piece of equipment. We have also been
able to confidently submit major capital expenditures as a result
of analysis of information that Workmate has collected. Some of
this information was collected over a number of years and yet
Workmate not only allowed us to analyse this information straight
away but produced accurate results on all data with a few weeks
of installation.
These results really are a credit to Workmate
and the team at EPS. Workmate quite frankly is a breeze to use
and produces excellent results! We are expanding the system to
involve more of our production staff so that they can log faults
and track the progress of their work requests through the system.
We have just implemented Workmate’s new
Work Order Wizard function around the site which allows anyone
even with very limited knowledge of computers to work with the
system. I personally spent no more than a few minutes with each
staff member showing them only once how to use the program and
that is all that was required to get it working.
Workmate has consistently proven to be
a system that anyone can operate and is well supported. I highly
recommend Workmate to anyone as a system that is easy to use and
